for EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage)

This site [https://word.cards] lists a variety of educational aids. These are especially designed for one-to-one support for home-based study ~ or in more formal settings. The one-to-one, and home approach is especially useful if the guide is supporting the pupil's schoolwork rather than duplicating it. Additionally some of the well-established education theories (eg Montessori) can be used in the informality of home. (For example learning by discovery ~ rather than lecture; 'Could we do it better? rather than 'That's wrong!'

There are long-established ~ numerous ~ teaching aids for letter and word recognition. We plan to supplement these with slightly more challenging materials ~ whilst remaining faithful to clear presentation and educational integrity. [As we are already doing with our busy.cards].

Adults may well be ableto unravel these sentences by studying the picture. Younger readers have the opportunity to study and move cards around one-at-a-time ~ before finding the answer.
